In Loving Memory of Terry Hess (April 19, 1957 – April 11, 2020) was an award-winning early childhood music educator, studio musician, singer, guitarist, and djembe percussionist. She had over 25 years of experience in both public and private schools throughout Connecticut, and taught early childhood music in the preschool music program at the Saw Mill Club in Mt. Kisco.
A native New Yorker, she credited amazing music teachers for inspiring her own career in music education. She began studying jazz guitar at the age of 10 with jazz master Ray Gogarty. She received her B.A. in Music from the State University of New York at Oswego, and studied for her Masters in Music Education at Chicago Musical College.
